People on Medicare can get over-the-county COVID-19 tests at no cost by early spring, officials announced last month.
Medicare beneficiaries will have access to a maximum of eight of the test kits per month for free through eligible pharmacies and other participating entities, according to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency that runs Medicare and Medicaid.
CMS said the free kits, covered under Medicare Part B, will be available through home delivery at covidtests.gov and 1-800- 232-0233 and from participating free-testing sites.
