Frank Huang, a Chinese-born American violinist and teacher who has been concertmaster of the Houston Symphony since 2010, will perform during the String Festival Oct. 12-13 at University of Puget Sound’s Schneebeck Concert Hall.
A free concert at 7:30 p.m.  Oct. 13 will feature high school students from throughout the West Coast who are participating in the festival. They’ll perform with Huang and the university’s string faculty.
The festival’s main concert, also featuring Huang, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12, at Schneebeck. Tickets, whose prices include $8.50 for ages 55 and up, are available at 253-879-6013.
