People who are turning 65 soon and want to know more about Medicare can attend free classes hosted by Sound Outreach and the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) that are scheduled for three branches of the Pierce County Library System.
Topics to be covered include Medicare Parts A and B, Medicare supplement and Medicare Advantage plans, Part D prescription drug plans, Medicare and employer insurance, and when to sign up for Medicare
The classes are scheduled for 1:30 to 4 p.m. on:
- Jan. 14 at the Graham library branch, located at 9202 224th St. E.
- Feb. 4 at Bonney Lake branch, 18501 90th St. E.
- March 4 at the Fife branch, 6622 20th St. E.
A question-and-answer session will follow each presentation.
